After several reflections and discussions of the working group. Glavostik, initiated in 2015 by a number of specialists from different levels and areas of language teaching, the project “The Slovenian Language in the Slovenian School” took off, within the framework of which Martina Šolc wrote her thesis in Pedagogy (three-year course) at the University of Koper/Capodistria.
The thesis presented a particular pedagogical approach to stimulating Slovenian language learning, which the student, an elementary school teacher, applied in the Kindergarten with Slovenian language of instruction in St. James. The experience, supervised by Majda Kaučič Baša, thesis advisor, successfully completed, was published thanks to the intervention of Slovenska Prosveta (Z učno igro do slovenščine). The teaching of Slovenian with the same pedagogical approach will be repeated in Servola Preschool.
