A seminar meeting was held among psychoanalysts from Serbia, Croatia, and Trieste who are members of the International Psychoanalytical Society. The idea was primarily aimed to strengthen dialogue among Italy, Croatia, and Serbia within the realm of mental health and psychotherapeutic care. The meeting was attended by two Trieste-based individuals fluent in Serbo-Croatian (Ettore Jogan and Vlasta Polojaz), five psychoanalysts from Belgrade, and four from Zagreb, including Dr. A. Vučo, the president of the Psychoanalytic Association of Belgrade (the sole representative of the Serbian territory), and Professor Vlasta Rudan, president of the Croatian Psychoanalytic Study Group. It was noteworthy that representatives from the new generation also presented their work.

The meeting proved to be a positive experience for the participants as it provided an opportunity for immediate and authentic professional exchange, beyond the more formal aspects typically seen at international conferences. One factor that undoubtedly facilitated communication among attendees was the opportunity for each person to speak their native language.
